Senior Account Executive – Events Manager

A Senior Account Executive serves as a project manager across marketing, event, and/or public relations programs. He or she researches, designs, and implements client projects, recommends effective marketing and communications solutions to meet goals; manages program deliverables, coaches and guides the work of 1-2 team members, tracks budgets, coordinates with our creative and research teams; and drives successful results for our clients.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute 30+ events annually – both in-person and online, from small round-table discussions to conferences of 1,000+ attendees and other events
  • Develop program agenda and lead speaker selection, recruitment, and coordination for conferences, webinars, and other events
  • Lead venue selection, negotiation and contracting, as well as logistics management for events
  • Plan, forecast and manage budget to program scope
  • Manage client program goals and SLAs
  • Deliver highly responsive service and build positive relationships with key stakeholders
  • Maintain proactive, clear, and consistent communication with client
  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of IT-focused legislation and industry/technology trends as well as client solutions and priorities
  • Provide supervision, direction, and support to assigned team members
  • Manage client reporting and other client administrative duties
  • Maintain awareness and understanding of 300Brand’s portfolio of services
  • Contribute ideas to program development for the client and for new business proposals

Skills Required

  • BA or BS degree
  • 2-4 years of experience in event/conference planning and management
  • Understanding of government community
  • Email marketing/automation experience
  • Ability to track, understand, and write about implications of public policy issues
  • Established record delivering results on event and marketing programs
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Ability to take initiative and be a problem solver
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to generate ideas and think creatively
  • Ability to work within assigned budgets
  • Ability to supervise the work of Account Executives, Account Coordinators, and Interns
  • Ability to supervise multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Good listening skills
